On Saturday, 15 November at 6PM, The Dublin Gaelic football team played against The Irish News Ulster all-star team selected recently by the Irish News readers, at Kingspan Stadium, the home of Ulster rugby.

It was been over 20 years since Dublin footballers have played in a venue in Belfast.

When the Irish News Ulster all-Star team took to the field, it was the first time in the 20 year history since the awards have been running, the team have played together.

This was indeed a very unique and exciting event attended by over 6000 spectators, raising £70,000 for MND research.

A huge thank you to St Pauls GAC, The Antrim County board, Ulster GAA, the deterMND working group and of course Kingspan Stadium (the Home of Ulster Rugby) who from the inception of this idea, have gave its full support. deterMND were delighted they opened up such a wonderful stadium for an event such as this, which  seen vital awareness and funds being raised to continue the fight against MND.

deterMND are working with the Motor Neurone Disease Association to ensure the funds raised are used to support vital research into MND.
