Day 2. St Jean to Roncesvalles

1 Jul 2017
Day 2 – "The Climb”
Today was the most physical day the four of us have ever experienced.
17 miles over the Pyrenees (hateful mountain), much of it off road over boulders and muddy ground.  We started in the rain, took us 12 hours and it's seriously still raining. Stopped at Orission for much needed lunch. Lovely good atmosphere, food hearty.  Views were beautiful at the start when we could see them.

All of us were drenched but Anto took the worst of it sitting in the chair. (Kipper said he failed the David Blaine Ice challenge.
Anyhoo we lived to tell the tail.  Back out in morning with more expected rain (nightmare).

MND Fact  400 people at any one time live with MND on the island of Ireland.

QUOTE OF THE DAY –  "THIS HAS TO BE THE LAST HILL, IT IS BOUND TO EVEN OUT SOON” all of us
