Rockliffe Hall Golf outing a huge success

27 Oct 2017
On Monday 23rd of October Rockliffe Hall hotel hosted their deterMND golf day.

The outing was supported by some guest celebrities including Sky Sports' Chris 'Kammy' Kamara and two of Celtic's greatest players, Charlie Nicholas and Packie Bonnar.

After a round of golf the participants were treated to a wonderful meal and a talk about the purpose of the day's event from Rockliffe executive and event organiser, Eamonn Elliott.

The  event raised over £6500 for the deterMND research fund. Organiser Eamonn Elliott said "we are delighted that Rockliffe Hall were able support the deterMND Trust through our golf day and we hope the funds raised will help deterMND in their drive towards helping find a cure for MND".

In the build up to the event Eamonn, events executive Katie and Michelin star chef Richard undertook the Helvellyn triathlon, helping to raise awareness and research funds for MND.

Anto thanked the organisers and participants adding "Alison and I would like to say a massive thank you to Eamonn and the team and Rockliffe for their wonderful support of the DeterMND Trust.

Eamonn and I grew up and played sport together from a very young age, firstly at Celtic Boys and also at Davitts Gaelic club, both here in Belfast. I would like to thank him personally for his support.

Events like today's golf meet take a huge amount of organising, so thank you to everyone who made it happen".
